Trouble cropping PDF file using Acrobat DC

I am trying to crop a PDF file with Acrobat DC. In the cropping function it does not ap[pear to give me the right Icon and when I save the file it is not cropped.

If you have any suggetions, please let me know

Can you provide a screenshot of the icon? There are two main reasons why you may not be able to crop a PDF page: You only have the free Adobe Reader (which in turn would then point you to a place where you can buy Adobe Acrobat), or you have a PDF file that is protected. You would be able to see that by bringing up the document properties (Ctrl-D or Cmd-D on a Mac), and then on the "Security" tab, you would see what is allowed and what is not allowed to do with the document.
