Trying to combine pdf's but get secured file password prompt. x

I am attempting to combine my individual bank statement pdf's into a single pdf file. However, when I attempt to combine them I am prompted for a secure file password. I spoke with the support team at Chase and they claim it's a known error with Adobe and that I need to contact Adobe. Is this a known issue and is there a "known" fix?

Combine the files as portfolio or remove the password protection from the files.
