Unable to edit PDF created from AutoCAD

When I export an AutoCAD file to PDF (AutoCAD 2020), I am unable to then edit that PDF in Acrobat DC.  I receive a non-specific error message each time.

If I then go to View - Reflow, and try to edit again, I get a message advising the document cannot be edited as it is secure.  I have not applied any security when creating the PDF initially.

Any suggestions?

Please give the exact nonspecific messages.

Also, please go into File > Properties, under the Security tab, and let us know what is shown for "Security method".

The message says "Adobe Acrobat has encountered an unknown error."

Under Security Method, "No Security" is entered.

I have since tested using an older version of AutoCAD (2014), and this works fine... there appears to be a compatability issue as I get the error every time when trying to edit PDFs created via AutoCAD 2020.
