Unable to Edit PDF in Acrobat Pro 2017 created in DC 2020

Hi. I have a reproduceable issue that *appears* to have just started happening this week. I have two W10 computers running standalone Pro 2017 versions (bought from Techsoup for NGO). I also have a copy o my W10 machine of Acrobat DC 2020 version. I can edit the same PDF with no problem.

Any idea why this is so? Can PDFs created in 2020 NOT be editable in 2017?

This seems to be new. People have been editing PDFs right up until this week with no problem, but now seem to be having it. It is reproduceable. I have have the screen shots if needed.

I have upgraded 1 of the 2 2017s that cannot edit and it did not change anything.

Also, the 2017 users seem to not be able to digitally sign the 2020 PDFs.

So are documents created on DC 2020 not editable in Pro 2017?

Can you please share the screenshots of error you are facing while Editing in Pro2017??

If possible, please share a sample file as well.

Also do let us know the versions of your DC2020 and Pro2017.

Sorry, we simply upgraded and things worked. I think that I was correct in that the earlier versions could not read the new files.

It is certainly a bug that has nothing to do with it.
All versions of Acrobat can open all versions of the PDF format up to 1.0, which dates back to 1991.
And all versions of Acrobat that are less than 15 years old can open PDF 1.7 (current version), which dates back to 2006.
