Update stopped function

I did an update for my prepaid plan  Adobe Acrobat Export PDF.  Now I am unable to scan a document to email out.  It comes out with part of the page missing as it has 2 thick yellow and orange vertical lines down the left hand side.  Please see attached. I have cleared the cache of cookies but it has made no difference.

How are you scanning? What application are you using? Can you scan into other applications without this problem? Adobe Acrobat Export PDF is an online service that can be used either from the free Adobe Reader, or by going straight to the web page.
