Using a MacBook (Retina, 12 inch, early 2016) 1.1 Ghz Intel Core m3 to log remotely using RDP to an office Dell Optiplex 7010 (Intel i5-3470 CPU @ 3.2 ghz -4 cores) computer.
When trying to combine pdf files on the office computer using Adobe Standard 11.0 remotely, it crashes the MacBook. As soon as it starts to combine, the "loading mouse icon for Apple" appears. You are unable to click or close out of RDP screen nor are you able to click anything on the Mac screen. Everything freezes and nothing else can be done other than to restart the MacBook.
Are there any known causes and fix to this problem? There are no error codes. The Macbook just freezes.

What's the OS version on that computer? What's the exact version of Acrobat on it?

The Macbook uses the MacOS Big Sur with the latest updates and the office computer uses Windows 10 Pro with the latest updates. The office computer uses Adobe Acrobat XI Standard 11.0.23. The Mac uses the Adobe Acrobat Reader DC.

Try running Acrobat on the remote system in Compatibility Mode with an earlier OS, like Windows 7.
You should know that Acrobat XI is outdated and not supported by Adobe any longer. It's also becoming less and less compatible with Windows 10 with each new update that comes out for the latter, so problems are to be expected.

The bug, whatever it is, won't be in Acrobat. (Just as well, that version is far, far, out of support). RDP's job is just to send screen images and keystrokes etc. so it shouldn't care what the apps do, even if they are way broken.
