What's wrong? Why can't I get Acrobat Pro DC to do proximity searches like I did with Pro XI

I am long-time user of Acrobat Pro. I am accustomed to use proximity searches over multiple documents. I got a new Dell Win10 computer so upgraded to Pro DC. But "ALL OF THE WORDS" proximity search always produces same results as "ANY OF THE WORDS". I can't discover a reason except a flaw in DC. Should I resume Pro XI?

Kenneth -- It's four years since your posting but I'm also having problems that are slightly different than yours.  The proximity tick box stays grey until I choose "match all of the words".  The choice of "any of the words" greys out the promimity search making it not available.  I'm hoping to receive some help from an Acrobat specialist tomorrow so I'll keep this forum updated.  By the way, I have yet to find instructions on how to enter the search keys.  I'm assuming it's two words but I don't know the syntax.  Any ideas or references?  Thank you.

In the preferences of Acrobat change the value of "Range of words for Proximity searches".
