What kind of BS is this that the only support I can get for a problem is thru a community forum where no one replies?? I am having problems converting Office documents to pdf on a new (2nd) PC using Acrobat standard DC. Error message: Unable to fine acrobat pdf resource files. Has worked fine on old PC but not new with Windows 10. Absolute BS that I cannot at least chat with someone at support.

I apologize for the rant but had another question up with no replies and am just frustrated. This is the last and only issue in getting my new business (I'm self-employed) PC working.
Older PC (still here and AA Std DC is working correctly) is Windows 8.1. New PC (HP Spectre x-360) is Windows 10. All other software has been successfully moved to new PC and working well.
Installed AA Std DC on new PC (able to have on two PC's) and can read and convert non-Office material to pdf. Cannot convert Word or Excel files to pdf using the 'Save As PDF' command. Getting an error message: Unable to find "adobe pdf" resource files. I can convert to pdf by 'printing' as pdf but would like for software to work correctly when I 'save as pdf'.
Have tried to reinstall AA but same problem persists.

See PDFMaker issue in Office 2007, 2010, 2013, or 2016 with Acrobat DC or Acrobat 2017, Compatible web browsers and PDFMaker applications.
I would first try the "Repair Instillation" under Help before and removal and reinstillation. And then check that the Acrobat add-ins have been enabled MS Office.
All the posters here fell the pain from the poor Adobe customer service or should it be disservice.

Thank you gkaiseril & AnandSri, I ran the "Repair Installation" from the help menu and it did not work.
I checked in MS Office and the Adobe add-in is there and enabled.
I will try the cleaner tool and reinstall later today when time allows.
Again thanks for responding

Hello rickm6963611
We apologize for the inconvenience caused, as per the description above, you are not able to convert Office documents to PDF on Windows 10 Machine, Is that correct?
This issue may happen if the updates may have messed up with the registry of the computer, and the application is unable to find the Adobe Resource files. Please check for any pending updates of Acrobat from Help>Check for updates. Reboot the machine after the installation of updates.
You can also try repairing the installation files of Adobe Acrobat from Help>Repair installation. Reboot the machine once and see if this brings any difference.
If the issue persists, please use the Acrobat cleaner tool to remove the Acrobat and reboot the machine, download the cleaner tool from
Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool - Adobe Labs
Install the Acrobat from Download Pro or Standard versions of Acrobat DC, 2017, XI, or X
You may also refer to the following KB docs which discuss the similar issue and refer to the answers marked as correct and try the suggestions [App-V 5.0 Sp3][Acrobat DC]Got error “unable to find ‘Adobe PDF’ resource files" when creating pdf f...

AnandSri,
Rick Miller here.
I have done the following with no success (still getting message when trying to Save As PDF “unable to find adobe pdf resource files”):
1. I looked for updates (there were none)
2. I ran the Repair Installation utility from Adobe Help (no change)
3. I ran the Acrobat cleaner and rebooted my PC
4. I re-installed Adobe Acrobat Standard DC
No change – problem persists.
The additional information you asked for is as follows:
1. Dot version of Acrobat installed: Adobe Acrobat Standard DC; 2015 Release; Version 2015.006.30306
2. MS Office Suite: MS Office Home and Business 2016
3. Personal or business: both – I’m self-employed (structural engineer)
Info on the new laptop below if needed.
I’ll await to hear from you or others and thanks in advance for your help,
Rick

Where did everybody go?? As per my 1/18/18 response I have attempted all of the suggested actions and the problem persists. In fact it is worse since the 1/18 use of the cleaner tool and the re-install done that day. Now I cannot ‘Print’ as a pdf in addition to not being able to ‘Save As PDF’.
In my last post dated 1/18/18 at 1:53 PM I included all the additional information that was requested.
Is there someone going to help me resolve this? I’m a self-employed engineer and I use Adobe extensively including to digitally sign/seal engineering documents. I need this software to function in order to make a living.
Please respond,
Rick
