Why did I lose certain data and how do I get it back?

Came in this morning and Opened up Acrobat Ready DC as always.  When the file opened, the whole document had missing letters and numbers randomly.  How do I get my data back without having to re-do the entire document?

looks like a classic problem with missing or damaged font in the system or Acrobat DC
