Why does Acrobat change shapes, text boxes, etc.?

Hello,

I am saving a document from Word into a pdf. When I view the pdf in Acrobat, the shapes and tex boxes I have created in Word are shifted and even some of the colors are different. Is there a reason this happens? I feel like the only thing I can do is try to adjust from viewing the pdf on Word, saving and reopening, and seeing how it looks... incredibly tedious...

Thank you!
