Why text boxes in Word do not show in Adobe?

When I create Quick Reference Guides (QRGs) using Microsoft Word (Windows 10), I use red text boxes around words to draw attention to them. For some reason, the most recent release of Adobe does NOT allow the red text boxes to appear in the PDF version of the document.

Please tell me how I can fix this problem. I need my text boxes to appear in the PDF version so that students can use the QRG more effectively.

Why is Adobe making so many changes that are creating so much frustration for your customers? Not long ago, I had to learn how to remove the "portfolio" option in order to upload documents to a government account. Please stop!

- How exactly are you converting the Word file to PDF? What version of Acrobat do you have?

- Portfolios are nothing new. They existed for a long time. Maybe what changed are your settings, but this feature is not a new one.
