work around with "auto-create web links from URLs"

I am familiar in how to use this great tool to "Auto-Create Web Links from URLs". It finds any plain text that may look like a link and automatically creates it for you.

However, I've found that not having the "www" in front of a web link does not bring it up as needing a URL. Is there a work around or some "Action" or "Custom Command" I can do to make Acrobat learn that any websites without the full "www" address is in fact a link that needs to be created?

No,  not out of the box.  If you knew how to write JavaScript, then you could conceivably create a JavaScript plug-in that could do something like that, but there are 3rd party C/C++ tools that can do this for you that are available from vendors (e.g. Evermap Autobookmark or Debenu Aerialist).  Note, these types of 3rd party solutions can be pricey.

Thanks for the response! I saw no need for the "www" extension in print but now I can see why keeping it in the copy can be helpful to me once I publish our digital edition. Too bad, thanks again though!
