Hi:
After I typed in my valid serial number, I got an error message, "The serial number you entered is valid, but a qualifying product cannot be found on this computer." There is also another message, "the software will automatically attempt to activate over the Internet." I am really lost. It apparently is not activated so far. What need I do to get it activated? Please help.

Did you upgrade from a previous version of acrobat to Acrobat X ?

No, I purchased the X Pro two years ago. But I found out what the problem was. There is a built in X Pro trial software in the new laptop I bought and it uses the flash X Pro Icon. The one I downloaded uses a different but plain icon. That's why I got confused. How do I get the real X Pro Icon back?

What is your operating system?
P.S. you should be able to use your Acrobat X Pro serial number to activate the installed trial on your new system. But make sure it is actually Pro, and not Standard.

Hi:
Sorry, I got misled to the icon for Acrobat X Pro I used to see. It turned out that it was not and there is another icon for the real Acrobat X Pro, which is not shown with a regular icon but with the Acrobat X wording underneath it. I clicked on it and it opened up as Acrobat X Pro. What a confusion!
