New Here ,

We recently installed WordPerfect 2020. We have Adobe Acrobat Pro 12. We used to be able to bookmark a scanned document. Now we can't. But, we can bookmark a document that has not been scanned into the computer. Using Windows. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi John,

Thank you for reaching out.

Would you mind elaborating on what you mean here by "bookmark a PDF"? Are you referring to adding bookmarks in the PDF?

Could you please share the steps you do and the issue that occurs?

Share the complete Acrobat and PS version details. You may use the steps suggested in the following help document to check the Acrobat version number: https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/identify-product-version.html.

Thanks,

Meenakshi

Yes, I am referring to adding bookmarks to a PDF. We use Adobe Acrobat Pro 12. I don't know what "PS" is. We used to be able to bookmark PDF's no problem. Now although we can bookmark a regular document that has not been scanned in as a PDF, we can't bookmark a scanned-in PDF. When we get to the bookmarks page, we can't highlight the portion of the text to bookmark. This is the problem. It just says, "Untitled." If I go the "Edit PDF" tool, the document just goes away. I'm getting very frustrated. Hope you can help. Thanks, John Schuck

Make sure you're using Acrobat and not the free Reader. If you are, make sure the file is not secured or digitally signed.
