Hi there adobestinks12,
First, we need to figure out what you're using to view the PDF files. Are you viewing them in Adobe Reader on your computer, or in the Adobe Reader app for mobile on your iPhone?
If you also have a trial version of Adobe Acrobat, you can uninstall that if you don't think you'll need it.
However, you should be able to save to your hard disk, regardless of whether you're using Reader or Acrobat. There is an option at the bottom of the Save As dialog box to "Save to Online Account," but you would have to choose an account from that pop-up menu to actually save to your cloud.acrobat.com account.
Let's start by finding out what version of Reader you have, and installing any available updates. Choose Help > Check for Updates in Reader, and then see if you're able to save files to your desktop.
I look forward to hearing back from you.
Best,
Sara
