I use Word to layout text with images and I convert my Word files to PDF with Adobe, using Optimal quality. But in the final PDF document, in the pages with images, the text appears bolder than in the pages without images. How can I solve this problem? Thank you for your help.

Hi Michelz,

Thank you for reaching out and sorry about the delay in response.

As you are experiencing issues with converting Word file to PDF, could you please confirm if you are creating it using the Acrobat desktop application or with the Acrobat Online service?

Would you mind sharing the Word file and the PDF that you create? So, we can check and provide you the right information.

If you are using the desktop application, please share the application and OS version with us.

Let us know if you need any help.

Thanks,

Meenakshi

Hi Meenakshi,
I use the desktop application, which is integrated in the toolbar of Word 2013, under Windows 10.
I have found a part of the solution: the problem only appears if I use the "optimal" or "high quality print" option, with 2400 dpi... If I use a 1200 dpi option, all the text seems to be OK.
I attach 2 pages showing the differences of bold, one presents only text, the other present text plus figure...
Thank you for your answer

Hi Michel,

Thank you for sharing the pages and your findings with us.

Would you mind sharing the original Word document and the screenshot of the settings you select before converting it to PDF? That will help us to replicate the behaviour.

Also, confirm if you have experienced this behaviour with particular files or any file that you try to convert to PDF.

Thanks,

Meenakshi
