Does Preview indicate they were able to actually see the file?

New Here ,
Feb 27, 2015 Feb 27, 2015

When it indicates that there were previews of the file but the person at the other end indicates they can't open it

I don't understand?  The engineering department of a company I sent CAD files to said they can't open it BUT it says at my end that in fact it was previewed?

So I am confused!

Thanks,

Kathleen

Hi Kathleen Konecek,

It depends on what type of file is being previewed, if a document file is being previewed then they are able to see it without downloading!

but if it is a unsupported format or whose preview is not possible and then they try to access that file then it will show 'previewed' to you, and in such case that user has to download the file in order to access it.

Hope that helps, Please revert back if you have any other query or if i have misinterpreted your issue.

Regards,

Rahul Tyagi
