Enhance Handwritten text in an old document (scanned)

I have Adobe Acrobat X1 Pro.  I am trying to enhance/darken handwritten text in an old document I have scanned. to highlight the text which has faded

with time.  In searching for edit text I was presented with an Adobe XI Pro add-on that I could purchase for $19.90 per month.

Isn't this part of my Adobe Pro 11 package?

What is the name of the plug-in? I don't believe that is something included with Acrobat Pro.
