I just installed Adobe Reader and tried to open a PDF, and this error appeared. I can open this file with the browser app. This problem is old; it's happened to me before, and to other people too. Please help.

In the Preferences/Advanced Security option.
I'm not sure if the options appear that way in English because I have it in Spanish.

Hi victoria_3957,

Thank you for reaching out, and sorry about the trouble caused.

Please confirm if you are trying to open the PDF from a network location or saved locally on the machine. Does it happen with all the files?

Could you please share the screenshot of the error message and the screen recording of the workflow? Also, share the current version of Acrobat and OS on the machine.

Thanks,

Meenakshi

Hi victoria_3957,

Thank you for the screenshots.

If you are having problems only with the network file and can open the PDFs saved locally, please make sure that you have the required permissions for the network location.

Also, please try downloading the file from the network location and saving it locally. Then check if you can open the PDF in Acrobat. Check if you can open the files.

Please collect the logs for the workflow using the diagnostic tool and share the log ID with us.

Thanks,

Menakshi
