What's going on over there Adobe?

I can't convert my docs at all. Not using the doc tools or the cloud service.  I've tried all of the suggestions on the "troubleshoot" tab.  Nothing works.

I also can't find a "help" function that produces live chat; just a "community" where I guess I'm supposed to post questions and then wait around hoping someone there feels like answering.

What gives?

Hi Gabe,

How can I help? Let me start by asking some questions so we can figure out what's going on:

  • What's happening when you try to convert your files? Do you get an error?
  • What version of Reader are you using, and what web browser?
  • Are you on Mac OS or Windows?
  • Have you had luck converting any files, or do all fail?

I look forward to hearing back from you so we can get to the bottom of this.

Best,
Sara

Hi Sara.

What's happening is: I go about trying to convert a PDF to Word or vice versa...the document uploads, then it says it's converting...then it fails.

And it doesn't give an explanation.  It just says "conversion failure".

At some point, a window opened and told me that my free trial of Acrobat had expired.  But that trial expired several weeks ago and I've used the online PDF pack successfully since then.

I'm using Adobe Reader XI; Google Chrome browser.

Windows.

Thanks,

-Gabe
