I have previously successfully converted PDF files with scanned image from PDF to Word. The image is of scanned text. Now suddenly, it does not convert the image to text. When I download the word document the image is inserted in the word document instead of editable text. Please assist.

I got it to work again.
The way I initially have done it was to scan the document. I then edited out all pictures, handwritten notes, lines etc with an image editor. I did this to ensure that only text is visible in the image. Then I saved the edited image as a .jpg file and converted the .jpg file to pdf. I then uploaded this pdf file to convert to word. Initially it worked fine, but then suddenly it seems that the OCR function stopped working and it just inserted the uploaded image back into the converted word document.
I have now skipped the initial image editing and just convert the image with all lines, pictures, text, etc to pdf and then convert it to word. Now it is working fine. The only hassle now is that the word document is cluttered with unwanted pictures, lines, etc. which is quite a tedious task to remove in a word document. But at least the text is editable. Somehow with the editing of the image, before converting it to pdf, it seems to create a glitch.
