Extra Large Files

New Here ,
Sep 29, 2014 Sep 29, 2014

I have a large file 386mb that I need to convert to either an editable PDF or  word doc. The file was originally scanned by a xerox without OCR.

What are my options for conversion? I note that there is a limit of 100mb using Acrobat.com. Is there software i can buy to make this conversion possible. Have tried some of the mac apps for this purpose, but none seem to be able to convert text and images/diagrams very well, or are unable to handle so many pages.

Appreciate any advice.

Regards

DrMuttata

Hi drmuttata,

What format is your source file? If it's a PDF, Adobe Acrobat lets you save directly to Word format. If it's not a PDF, and it's a format supported by Acrobat, you can convert to PDF using Acrobat as well. Here's a list of supported file formats: Supported file formats | Acrobat, Reader

You're welcome to try Acrobat for free for 30 days, if you'd like. For more information, see www.adobe.com/products/acrobat.html.

Best,

Sara
