How can I convert a pdf of a Word file to an Excel file?

New Here ,

I'm trying to save myself some time by converting vocabulary lists assigned to me at school that are in PDF format to an Excel format.

I purchased Export PDF.  I am hoping to be able to convert these lists to an Excel spreadsheet which allows me to import them into Quizlet.

So far, when I try and convert the PDF files into Excel, the vocabulary words are all in one list in the first column of the spreadsheet, and then the definitions are all placed in the same column and underneath the list of words.  I have to take some time to reformat the words and definitions so they line up cleanly in two columns, one column for the word, and the next column for the definition.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
