Hi mossy oak,
Did you convert it from within Reader? If so, it's possible that OCR was disabled when you did the conversion. OCR converts scanned text to selectable/editable text. So, if your PDF started out as a scanned document, it would be necessary to run OCR on it to convert the text into something selectable. Try converting the file, and make sure that "Recognize Text in..." shows the correct language in ExportPDF pane (click Change if you need to change this setting to a different language, or turn on OCR).
Please let us know how it goes.
Best,
Sara

Hi again,
Did I misunderstand? Did you convert from PDF to Word, or the other way around? If you converted to PDF from Word, then you would need Acrobat to edit the text in the PDF once it's been converted. Or, did you convert from Word to PDF and back to Word? If the latter, and OCR was enabled, then sometimes it's just a matter of triple-clicking in the text to select it.
What version of Word are you using?
Best,
Sara

Hi Sarah, it was originally a word doc that was sent to me as a PDF, I am now trying to convert back to a word doc so I can edit. I am having no trouble converting from PDF into word so the program says, I just cant edit. If i right click a text box appears and I can only delete text. I also can not move the cursor to any useful place, it moves but wont align and wont let me add text. I an using Office 2007. Not sure how to enable or disable OCR. Can I send to the PDF to Adobe to attempt or can I speak with someone?
If not I would rather get my $24 back, I have already wasted the time it would have taken to re type the entire contract.
Thanks

Hi there,
I'll send you a private message, so you can send the file to me. I'll take a look and see what I can figure out.
Best,
Sara
