How to add a requested attachment/s to online documents

I am capable of understanding the form signature document process with Acrobat DC. I just can't work out how I can have a document ask for attachments. Have read some pages where people say you need to do action scripts on buttons ( ouch)

I have received a online sign request document from an echosign user and it asks for attachments so I know it can be done.

Thanks to you Josh at least someone replied.

I don't think your links offer a solution. The PDF will be for Adobe Sign and therefore the clients signing the docs must not be required to use Acrobat license themselves in order to attach another doc.
