I cannot save my PDF files "Save As" all of a sudden - please advise.
Since this is a secured document, the "Save As" button is likely grayed out due to security settings. To see what is restricted, look at the "Document Restrictions Summary" area on the security tab. A password limits what actions a user can perform with the PDF file (anywhere from opening the file to making changes to the file, and thus, no 'save as'). "cannot", "unable", "not able", ... means the same: nothing - it doesn't tell us anything what happens. We cannot see your computer, so you have to describe it.

Oh - you wanted me to describe to the problem - okay. When I open a doc and click on File, the "Save As" option is grayed out and I am unable to click on it to save the doc to my hard drive. I have always been able to utilize this function, so I do not know what changed and why it is no longer available to me. Can you help me trouble shoot, or would someone please call me at [removed]

Sorry, we cannot call you back - we are just users as yourself, not Adobe support. I have removed the telephone number from your post.
Anyway, thank you for describing your problem. Can you check the document properties if there is anything that would prevent you from saving the doc: (on Windows) File | Properties | tab Security.
P.S. what is your Adobe Reader version? Also, your operating system?

I have checked the Properties and several other things with a colleague and nothing we tried has worked. We even removed the program and reinstalled.
We believe is has something to do with Security as the header shows (SECURED) - Adobe Reader and the Security Method under the Security Tab for Properties says "Password Security",
but I don't know how a password could have been added, because I did not do anything different.

Just a short reply, as I am about to leave...
There is nothing I can imagine that a document becomes secured without anyone actively doing that.
On the other hand, a secured document should still be able to be saved - depending on the security options perhaps.
Is there a possibility that you can share such a document with us (or with me, via PM): https://forums.adobe.com/thread/1408375
