Are you printing from an Adobe application? If so, which one? Are you able to print from other applications?

I can print a word document with no problem. It is only when I print a pdf in either reader 9 or reader 11 . I either get a very poor quality image, or totally distorted [unreadable] or large block vertical lines about 1/3 inch wide along the whole page.
