Is it possible to edit a PDF document that has been converted to Word (or at all)?

Hi. I'm trying to edit a PDF document that I've scanned in.  I tried converting it to a Word doc to see if this helped.  Is it possible to do this somehow?  sorry if this is a silly question, but this isn't my forte.

Hi rebeccae,

No silly questions here! They're all good! What did you use to convert the PDF file to Word? Did you one of the Acrobat online services? If so, then the conversion process would've included OCR (optical character recognition), so that the scanned text is converted to editable text.

So, you should be able to edit that converted file. Sometimes, it's necessary to triple-click to select the text in Word--and you'll also want to make sure that Enable Editing is selected on the toolbar in Word.

Best,

Sara
