Mac Mini M1/Acrobat Reader/Samsung m2880fx - won't print from Reader

New Here ,
Oct 26, 2022 Oct 26, 2022

I’ve a new Mac Mini with the M1 processor. OS12.6. The peripherals don’t all speak with it but have finally got my printer/scanner working w/wifi.

All printing functions work fine with most apps but not with Acrobat reader, which is my preferred app for pdf’s, etc. When I try to print from Reader I get a line across the top of the printed page of what looks like tiny little houses, sometimes some random pseudo-words at the beginning or end of the line and the printer keeps infinitely feeding out pages of paper with the same single line at the top until I manually stop it.

This doesn’t happen with any other app or function.

Any thoughts?

Thank you

Hi jack1587,

Thank you for reaching out, and sorry about the delay in response.

Please try the troubleshooting steps suggested on the following help page: https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/troubleshoot-pdf-printing-acrobat-reader.html

As mentioned above, the PDF you print in Acrobat Reader has some lines printed at the top of the page. Is that correct?

Would you mind sharing the pictures of some printouts?

Did this happen with all the PDFs? Or some specific PDFs?

Share the Acrobat Reader and OS version on your Mac.

Thanks,

Meenakshi
