My Buzzword document has many users sharing the file--How do I give them access after move?

I have several large shared Buzzword documents that I do not wish to move, but that I am required to move. Each shared Buzzword document has over 50 users. How do I keep these email addresses associated with the file when I move it as required? If I download my 200 page Buzzword document, all of the links be lost! That will be a huge job to re-activate each link. I think that Adobe does not like me using their service even though I have paid their monthly fee for years. I feel that I have been targeted. Why can't Adobe simply keep this service open for users who wish to use it? I resent the fact that I am required to move my documents, contact all the uses, and re-activate all the links in my large documents. It will be a huge chore! Made necessary by the whim of Adobe!  I really resent this forced change and all the extra work! Why not simply continue to provide the Buzzword shared workspace for those who wish to use it?!

Hi there,

I'm sorry to hear that you're frustrated with this change to the service; I recommend looking through our FAQ for information about this decision. As far as your logistical concerns, I do have a few comments for you regarding your questions:

  1. First and foremost, Workspaces has been a free service for quite some time; if you were paying a monthly fee, it likely wasn't for the use of Workspaces and/or Buzzword, but rather for one of our other services, such as PDF Pack or ExportPDF. If you have questions about this, please contact me privately for assistance.
  2. When you export your Buzzword documents to Word (*.doc or *.docx) files, existing hyperlinks in those documents should appear in the Word files, so I don't believe you'll have to re-link all of your content.
  3. If you've got many people shared on a document, you can copy all of those email address or email all your collaborators; you don't need to copy them one by one. To copy or email collaborators, click on "Share File" in the lower left corner of your browser window and then, where it shows you how many collaborators you have on the document, you can click "Show them". When the list of collaborators appears, open up the menu and choose either "Copy All" or "Email All". Screenshots below for your reference:

I hope this helps; please let me know if I can do anything else for you.

Best regards,

Rebecca
