I've formatted my USB after it was corrupted and in an attempt to recover deleted files I used a third party software. Unfortunately all the "recovered" pdf files were corrupted.
Is there any hope for uncorrupting these pdf files?

Hopefully you kept reliable backups on dropbox or other dedicated cloud backup service.
Recovering corrupted files is dicey at best.
