I'm using a Mac and I can't get Abode to close-and so keeping me from restarting or shutting computer down also.

Hi Junes,

Adobe is the name of the company. Which Adobe application you are referring here? I assume that you are taking about either Adobe Acrobat or Reader DC?

Do the following to rectify this problem-

  • First Reboot your computer (after saving all the ongoing work opened, so that you wont lose them).
  • Open app and see if it freezes on closing. If yes, then Open Activity monitor an quit Acrobat processes.
  • Reopen App, check whether it has got the latest patch installed or not. open Acrobat>Help>Check for update.
