Hi lyner,

Why do PDF files distort when I use the conversion to word option?

The word file is corrupt and unable for use!!!

Are you referring to the fonts or document format here? How exactly you did the file conversion, was it online via web browser or through the desktop application Reader DC?

Adobe Export PDF can create high-quality conversions, but the quality of converted document depends on the quality of the PDF file you start with.

The document you are referring above, is it a scanned file or does it contains maximum of images in it? Poor quality scans, such as those where the scanned page is skewed, or there are smudges or marks on the page, are very difficult for Export PDF to convert.

Check with a different pdf and see the result.

Try the conversion via Adobe Reader DC and see if that makes any difference. Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Install for all versions

Thanks,

Akanchha
