Normally this should not happen if you have created the pdf documents on the same computer.
Usually this is font issue.
Please provide us more information about this problem.
- Have you created this document on the same machine. Or this has been given to you.
- Is this the first time you are experiencing this issue.
- Was there any speical fonts used for the same document.
- And which application you are using including the version of the application.
- Do you have windows or mac including the operting system name and version.
