Pdfs are not being emailed in acrobat.

They have the Firefox logo box now, and won't open when I email them.  I can view them on my PC I just can't add to email as a viewable attachment.  Any ideas on how to repair?

I tried changing to view with "Acrobat" but Firefox keeps showing up as default.

I'm sorry, but I'm not sure that I follow your question. Are you asking how to make Firefox display PDF files, or are you saying that your mail client is somehow associating PDF files with Firefox and not Acrobat? What operating system are you on? And what mail client are you using?
