Radio Buttons

I had created radio buttons for my forms using Acrobat XI Pro. However, when converted to MS Word through "Saving as" option, it turned out that the radio buttons become non-editable and represented as images on MS word instead.

Is there a way to overcome this problem as there are many times we might need to go back to the MS word again to make changes?
