recover writings lost during computor refresh.

I recently had to restore my laptop back to the beginning. It turns out I did not save my writings to my back up. It contained several stories I had created for my soon to be Grand daughter. They were written on Microsoft Works and saved to Adobe Acrobat. Is there any way to retrieve these?

Hi Gracie12,

I'm so sorry to hear that you've lost some files--they sound like important ones! If the files aren't on your backup, and you restored your laptop to factory settings, there is probably not much that can be done at this point. I don't suppose you saved your files to an Acrobat.com account? If you have, those files would still be safe in your online account, regardless of what happened on your laptop.

Best,
Sara

I may have saved them to an Acrobat. com account. First I have to try to find it, any suggestions on how to tap into an account that might have been opened ages ago and I probably forgot my sign in info? If I can find the account what would I do to locate the files?

Hi Bob,

Please start by taking a look at this document for information about recovering your Adobe ID and password: Adobe ID, sign in, and account help

If you did create an account a log time ago, they could be in an older Acrobat.com account (https://workspaces.acrobat.com).

If you think you may have been uploaded more recently, then they could be in a new Acrobat.com account (https://cloud.acrobat.com).

I hope you find them!

Best,

Sara

Sara; I have tried the links you sent, thank you.But I can,t recall my

original email AND my password. I have recently opened a new account. Is

there a way to discover the old email & password. Is there a way to link

the old and new accounts?

Hi Bob,

Let me send you a private message with my contact information. If you give me your last name and address, I can try looking you up in our database. If I can find you that way, we could at least provide your Adobe ID--then you can work on resetting your password.

Watch for message from me...

Sara
