Recently, when I try to download a file from my Document Cloud online (https://acrobat.adobe.com/link/documents/files/) the file automatically ends up in my Windows Downloads folder. How can I set things so that instead, it prompts me to choose where to save the downloaded file, which is what it used to do?

(Note: I'm not sure when or how the behavior I'm used to changed)

Hi Kaalki2,

Thank you for reaching out.

If you are downloading the file from an Online account, the file gets saved to the default location for the browser.

If the file is used to save on a different folder after downloading, please check the browser settings once.

Thanks,

Meenakshi

Thanks for your response. I'm using the Chrome browser, which I have set to "Ask where to save each file before downloading." I note that on my work computer (also using Chrome), downloading files from DC works as expected. So I'm thinking it's some other sytem-level setting (independent from Adobe) that's causing it and am hoping someone here can suggest to me where to look.
