Stop the Take a Tour Pop Up

New Here ,
Jul 08, 2014 Jul 08, 2014

I'm using the Acrobat cloud service and each time I open the interface I get a pop up welcoming me to Acrobat and inviting me to Take a Tour.

Despite the fact I have repeatedly clicked the Skip Tour button, it still pops up every time I open the webpage (which is a lot).

I'm getting really fed up with this pop up. Anyone know how can I stop it?

Cheers

Hi Guy SP,

That pop-up is cookie driven, and it should only appear the first time that you visit the service. If it's showing up repeatedly, it could be because you have an application or utility that automatically deletes cookies when you close your browser. Do you know whether you have something like that on your computer?

Best,

Sara

Hi Sara,

Thanks for the quick reply.

I don't have an app that deletes cookies when I close the browser. But if that were the case, the pop up wouldn't appear in the same browser session, and unfortunately it does!

Hi Guy,

I believe there have been a couple reports of this happening as you describe for other customers. What browser/OS are you using? Does the same issue happen when you try a different web browser?

Hi Sara,

It seems to be a Firefox issue, its fine using Chrome.

The case for using Firefox is getting weaker and weaker, what are they doing at Mozzi ?!?

Hi Guy,

Firefox is definitely a supported browser as far as Acrobat.com goes, but I'm not sure what kind of back-end stuff it's doing to make that dialog pop up time and time again. I'm going to pass this along to the engineers so they can continue to track the issue.

In the meantime, I'm happy that you've found a workaround...

Best,

Sara
