Trouble signing in to export a PDF to Word

I am able to sign in to my adobe account via a browser. However, when I have Adobe Reader open, and attempt to export a pdf to Word, after typing in the same user ID and password that allowed me into my account via the browser, I get a message stating, "An error occurred while signing in." Any ideas what might be wrong?

Could you try downloading the latest version of Reader using the steps given in the following and try again.

Install Adobe Acrobat Reader DC on Windows

You may also visit the following help doc which explains more about the error message when trying to access export pdf services:

Error Message : "An error occurred while signing in"
