Unique ID code on survey

New Here ,
Oct 05, 2016 Oct 05, 2016

Hello,

I have a 10-page document designed in InDesign with the final output being a high-res PDF. The client wants a unique survey code on the first page of the document. There will be approximately 1,500 surveys going out via mail and each one needs a unique code on the first page. How do I do this?

Thanks,

Kate

Hi flipkate1021

I would suggest you to try using the Barcode feature of Adobe Acrobat for the unique code system you are referring to.

Please refer to the link below for  adding barcodes:

Let me know if it helps.

Supriya

Thank you for answering, Supriya. I don't think this is exactly what I'm looking for. Here is a better explanation:

I'm preparing a 10-page survey. The first page of the survey is a welcome letter that has the line "If you prefer to fill out this survey online, please visit our web site and enter the  survey code XXXX." This code would need to be unique for all 1,500 surveys and I need a way to generate a unique code each time the survey is printed. Is there a way to do that?

Thanks,

Kate
