Uploading PDFs not converting

Lately when I try to upload multiple PDF files to combine them, they will not convert.  There's a "conversion failure."  The only available action is to delete them and try again.  And again.  And again.  You get my point.  What reasons would there be for my files not to upload correctly?

Let's start with some basic troubleshooting, since it sounds like your files uploaded/converted without issue previously.

  • If you're using a web browser, log out, clear the cache, and then try again.
  • Try a different web browser (see System requirements | Acrobat.com for a list of supported web browsers)
  • If you're using Reader, choose Help > Check for Updates to make sure that you have the most current version. And make sure that you have Reader XI, as opposed to Reader X.

Thanks Sara!  I was using Firefox, so I did step 1 and cleared the cache.  That didn't work.  So I then tried step 2 and did the operation in Chrome.  That worked!  There was one PDF that didn't convert, but I tried it a second time (same file) and it worked.  I tested with several other PDFs and all converted fine.  So... my guess is it's a Firefox bug - ?

Anyway, I can just work in Chrome to do this.  Thanks very much for your response, I believe others were having the same trouble.
