What's wrong? I can no longer open saved pdf files
I've succesfully solved the problem myself. I'll describe what happened in hope of helping others in a similar situation.
Some time ago the adobe-logo on my pdf files suddenly chanced into Firefoxes logo. Morzilla Firefox was my browser, and I could still open the files, so I didn't wonder much about it.
Then, some weeks later, the Firefox logo disapeared too, and I was no longer able to open the files. Panic, panic. I tried in many ways

Hi anette,
Please tell me a bit more. Are the PDF files saved on your hard disk, or stored in your Acrobat.com account? What happens when you try to open your PDF files? Do you get an error message? Are you trying to open them in Acrobat or Reader (and what version)?
I look forward to hearing back from you, so we can get to the bottom of this!
Best,
Sara

Then, some weeks later, the Firefox logo disapeared too, and I was no longer able to open the files. Panic, panic. I tried in many ways to get to my files. In the end I succeded in open it by using my Adobe-account - but I still couldn't save it and the logo was still missing.
Anyway, now I knew for sure, that the files were intact, but it was still difficult to get to them.
Tonight I've uninstalled the Firefox browser - and it surely helped! I opened the first file with help from Windows program opener. I selected Adobe - and suddenly all my pdf.files appeared on screen, now with the original logo!
All my trouble offcourse makes my draw the conclusion, that Firefox was the problem :0)
My best regards to you

I am so glad that you wrote back to share this with the community. There have been several similar reports, and it looks like it may be a browser issue in each case. (I can't recall if different browsers were the culprit.)
Just so happy that you got it sorted out!
Best,
Sara
