Have you printed this specific PDF file before? It sounds like the PDF has security applied to restrict printing, which is why it's asking you to enter a password (you can tell by looking at the title bar--do you see "SECURED"?).

Yes and that's the problem it won't let me print wo the password, never needed it or used ut b4? Kim Morse

Have you been able to print that same file before without a password? Passwords are set at the file level, and not all PDF files are password protected (I'd say the majority are not).

If you'd like, I'd be happy to take a look at the file for you.

Good afternoon SaraThanks for responding. Yes, I have been able to open these files before without a password. Funny thing is it is happening on both my husband's laptop as well as mine. I'd appreciate any help you could give me but the file is very personal.
