Hi kim's forum,
Have you printed this specific PDF file before? It sounds like the PDF has security applied to restrict printing, which is why it's asking you to enter a password (you can tell by looking at the title bar--do you see "SECURED"?).
Best,
Sara

Have you been able to print that same file before without a password? Passwords are set at the file level, and not all PDF files are password protected (I'd say the majority are not).
If you'd like, I'd be happy to take a look at the file for you.
Best,
Sara

Good afternoon SaraThanks for responding. Yes, I have been able to open these files before without a password. Funny thing is it is happening on both my husband's laptop as well as mine. I'd appreciate any help you could give me but the file is very personal. So, if you can assist in a way that won't compromise the security I would be grateful for your help. Thanks and have a great day!Kim Morse

I totally understand that you wouldn't want to share these sensitive files. Let me send you a private message, and we can take this discussion offline. I'll do what I can without actually looking at the files. Please watch for a private message from me with my contact details.
Best,
Sara
