Just purchased Adobe to export file to Word. Can't because it's "password protected". I can't remove the protection to get the thing to convert.

Question isn't answered. I must have hit the wrong key. This is frustrating to purchase something I can't use.

Hi Piagrande,

Adobe Export PDF doesn't let you to remove the password protection of a pdf file. And until you don't put the password in, you wont be able to convert the pdf to any other format.  Using Adobe Export PDF

1- Export PDF service works with web browser and Adobe Reader DC desktop application.

If you know the password, and have access to Acrobat DC, then you should be able to remove the password security. Just choose File > Properties after you open the PDF, and click the Security tab in the Properties dialog box to change the security settings. Unfortunately, this isn't something that you can do in Reader.

2- As the pdf is secured, so you need to contact to Admin who owns the pdf rights to change the pdf security.

Hope this answers your query.

Regards,

Akanchha
