PDF to PDF/A-1a

I am looking for SW, which is able to convert from "normal" PDF to PDF/A-1a . Does 'Adobe PDF-pack' support this feature? Or which product is more suitable for converting to PDF/A-1a?

PDF/A-1a files (unlike PDF/A-1b) must be accessible. Creating standard conforming accessibility is a part automatic, part manual process which takes a lot of patience and training. Once it is accessible, Acrobat Pro can make it PDF/A-1a in most cases. This is a high end feature, not part of the basic PDF Pack.
