Hi Timm,

Sorry for the delay. As you have explained the scenario above, I wonder that there is much that can be done on this.I suppose that you need to remove widget to get this work.

For more information and better resolution I suggest you to contact to our support team-  https://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html

Hi Timm,

If you are working on Acrobat DC and you know the password of the document, then you can change its security settings.

You may refer to the help document where similar issue has been addressed and answered-

How do I remove password protection from documents I have permission to view?

Thanks but I don’t think that will help. I have created a widget in adobe sign. I thought when I created the password it would just lock the widget so no one could alter it but that is not the case. What happens when that document is sent out in order to view/print the document you must enter the password I created.

All I want to do is remove it so no password is needed to view or print it, but it must be imbedded in the widget link. That’s what I want removed.

Thanks

Hi thanks for the reply.  Yes i have come to that conclusion.  I had to make another widget from scratch and delete the pw protected one. It's odd you have the option to pw protect when you first make a widget but you can't remove the pw protect from the edit screen. Maybe something Adobe should add in the next release.

⁣Thanks

Tim
