Using Adobe PDF Services, the Word document that is converted from a previously scanned PDF file (the scanned original doc is just text on a page) appears fine, but when you try to edit the Word doc text, you get weird line breaks and other strange misplacing of text you wish to paste. Can anyone help?

Hi Frankc63109979,
We apologize for the delay in response to your query.
As mentioned above, that you have converted the PDF document to the word successfully.
So when you have converted the PDF to Word doc do you able to view the word doc properly? Is it readable or it is in correct format?
If this is the case the you may go through the help article Text is garbled in converted file | ExportPDF to know it better.
And what is the version of the MS Word you have installed to open the .doc files? You need to check the application that supports .doc files of your computer.
Please help us with more information to take it further.
Regards,
Akanchha

Thanks for responding. The OCR'd-from-PDF Word docs look perfect as you read them. The problem is when you try to edit them in Word. Cutting and pasting, or editing text, creates characters dropping in on the next line or some other odd place. It's like certain blocks of text are bracketed in their own text blocks. I tried exporting to RTF or saving as text, but same problem occurs. Very odd.
I have a recent version of Word for Mac.
