There was an intermittent issue going on with the Adobe Document Cloud website and the services were down. The issue has now been rectified and the services are back now.
You may try combining the pdfs now Adobe Document Cloud and see if you are still unable to load the pdfs.
Also, try the following-
1- Check with a different web browser
2- If you have any anti virus software installed, then you may turn it off for a while.
