Hi, We seem to be having an issue with Adobe sign due to a new feature they have added that enables you to pre-fill the name of the recipient.
However, when you do so, it adds “null” in front of the name and if the recipient does not notice and fix it, it will include it in the signature and time stamp of the person signing.

Hi KZilm2002,
Thank you for reaching out.
Could you please confirm if you are using the same email address to sign in to Acrobat Sign account that was used to sign in here on the community?
This seems to be weird behavior. Did you start experiencing this behavior?
Would you mind sharing a screen recording of the workflow? We will get this checked.
Thanks,
Meenakshi

Hi Meenakshi,
I'm sure it is the same email address, I'll confirm. I'll get the user to record the issue.
Thank you.

Hi Meenakshi,
I did not record the steps but took screenshots instead. These are the steps I followed:
Received the email for signing.
Opened the link in Edge, tried with Chrome too.
When clicking to sign, the bit where you sign had "null" in front of my name.
I clicked on Apply
The document completed the process adding null to my name.
When reviewing the state of the document in https://acrobat.adobe.com The recipient name is null and my name.
Even in the remind section my name appears with the null.
The users already updated to the latest version of Acrobat and the issue remains.
Attached is the signed PDF too.

I'm having the same issue. It seems to happen more often if I only enter the first name of the recipient. If I add both first and last name I don't seem to get that issue. But I've only just begun using this software so my sample size is small.

Thank you for reaching out.
We have tried to replicate the behavior. It works fine on our end.
Please confirm if this issue occurs with every user's email address to which you sent the document for signature
Have you started experiencing this issue recently?
Are you sending documents via Acrobat desktop application or Acrobat Online?
Thanks,
Meenakshi

I experience the same issue in Adobe Sign. It's random behaviour by AdobeSign. I can do 50 AdobeSigns and it's fine then suddenly it's not. Just received a document back today and it said "null Michelle" instead of the first and last name of the client. Previous AdobeSign documents from this client listed first and last name but today it comes back as "null". We need a fix from Adobe. Saying you haven't replicated the behaviour doesn't "nullify"!! what we are seeing in the field. We are using this program to verify signatures and this random glitch undermines that. Answers please!!

This is really problematic for my company as we require names to be legally correct. A client brought it to our attention and we have reviewed other documents that were sent out that have the same issue. How has this continued for so long and what needs to be done. This is enough reason to discontinue use and seek a refund. From my perspective, the whole point of the subscription is literally for clients to sign documents and for the names, dates and signature to be correct. Has anyone been able to resolve the issue?
